On the evening of 2 October, the 2019 ENCATC Fellowship Award Ceremony will be held at the prestigious Salle de Flore, a sumptuous room located in the Palace of the Dukes of Burgundy in Dijon in its protected area.

Hosted by the Ville de Dijon, this will be an ideal setting to celebrate the 2019 ENCATC Fellowship Award laureate for developing and maintaining innovative yet consistent approach and commitment to positive change and to value remarkable and visionary leadership, creativity, and results in education, research, policy, and advocacy in the cultural management and/or cultural policy fields

Initially, it was the hall of feasts at the palace of the states, thus succeeding the current ‘room of the tombs’. This room, whose decor evokes the battles of the Princes of Condé, then served as a hall. It then housed the School of Fine Arts which will settle later in 1784 in the left wing of the Palace of the Dukes. It has been proclaimed the Salle de Flore since 1786. The Town Hall moved there in 1831, so the Salle de Flore now belongs to the Town Hall. Located in the western part of the palace, it overlooks the courtyard of Flore and serves as a boardroom, concert or reception hall or reception for events.
